We are seeking an experienced Health & Safety Manager to join a leading international construction organisation delivering complex Life Sciences projects in Limerick. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive and technically strong professional to promote a culture of safety, innovation, and continuous improvement across multiple sites.
You will play a key role in ensuring that best-in-class health, safety, and environmental standards are consistently implemented and maintained, working collaboratively with project teams to deliver excellence in compliance and safety leadership.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide strong leadership and guidance to project teams on all Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) matters.

Support the Business Unit HSE Manager in the consistent rollout of HSE strategies, procedures, and company standards.

Conduct detailed safety inspections and risk reviews across multiple live projects.

Attend sites following incidents and assist or lead investigations, ensuring root causes are identified and lessons learned are shared.

Liaise with enforcement authorities during visits or investigations, maintaining a professional and cooperative relationship.

Tailor and implement the company’s management system to meet specific client requirements where appropriate.

Support prequalification and tender submissions by providing expert HSE input and practical advice.

Attend start-up meetings and other key project briefings with site teams, clients, and subcontractors.

Deliver HSE training sessions and toolbox talks to promote awareness and engagement at all levels.
Skills & Experience Required:

NEBOSH Construction Certificate (or equivalent) – essential.

NEBOSH Construction Diploma or NVQ Level 4 / EQF Level 5 in Occupational Health and Safety – desirable.

Demonstrable experience in Health & Safety management within the construction or life sciences sector.

Excellent communication, leadership, and mentoring skills.

Strong understanding of construction risk management, lifting operations, and HSE legislation.
