We are recruiting for an Assistant/Junior Merchandiser to join a growing fashion team based in Leeds.
You will work closely with the Head of Planning and Buying teams to provide data-driven insights that support forward planning, trading decisions, and long-term category strategy. You will be part of a friendly supportive team. Our client offers ongoing support and development.

Key Responsibilities
Review and analyse previous season performance with supporting data and commentary.
Partner with Buyers and the Head of Planning to create category mix strategies.
Ensure buying aligns with signed-off buy plans.
Manage availability and performance of CORE lines; conduct periodic reviews.
Monitor new season line performance; identify trading risks and opportunities.
Track and communicate variances against plan and Year-on-Year performance.
Provide insights on trial lines, new initiatives, and promotional performance.
Provide summaries and recommendations during End-of-Season and Clearance events.
Offer timely, concise insight to support decision making.Skills & Experience
Previous experience in a Merchandising or Planning role within retail or similar.
Highly proficient; Advanced Excel
Experience with Power Pivot, and Power BI is advantageous.
Proven ability to turn data into actionable insights.
Understanding of the full customer journey and how Planning contributes to overall business performance.
Awareness of current industry best practices and compliance requirements.
Strong analytical and decision-making abilities.
Excellent organisation and time-management.
